Fellow Ohioans,
It's an honor to serve you in the 76th District. I've been very busy this General Assembly helping pass meaningful legislation, attending in-district events, and more. I'm excited to share a little bit about that with all of you.
If you are ever in need of assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out to me or my office.

Legislative Update:
House Bill 692 - Updating Sewage Treatment System (Septic) Laws
I'm pleased to share that the Ohio House passed House Bill 692, which overhauls the state's household sewage treatment system (septic) laws. It reduces regulatory burdens on rural property owners by making soil evaluations optional rather than mandatory for replacement areas, authorizes inspections based on complaints rather than arbitrary annual mandates, and shifts contractor registrations to the state.
Ohio House Passes Capital Budget Bill
Connecting People | Connecting Places | Ohio’s Capital Budget
The Ohio House recently passed Ohio’s Capital Budget bill, a two-year capital improvements budget for community and state projects throughout Ohio totaling nearly $4 billion.
The bill provides appropriations for state infrastructure needs, including renovations to state offices, new construction for mental health facilities, land acquisition, and equipment. The plan also includes just over $200 million for community projects, which are projects that come from outside of state agencies and have a benefit or nexus to the state.
All 88 counties will receive funding for community projects.
I'm pleased to share that we secured $1 million through the capital budget for the Mansfield Playhouse. This funding will help build a new facility for the Playhouse.
I also secured the following projects for District 76!
- $350,000 for Mansfield Renaissance Theatre Preservation
- $400,000 for Taking Roots Farms
- $100,000 for Bellville Neighborhood Outreach Center
- $50,000 for Greater Cleveland Neighborhood Centers Association’s NCA Iconnect Richland project
- $354,000 for Jeanette Joan Saffold Foundation’s Brown Manor Improvement project
- $ 302,500 for Richland Academy of Arts
- $ 80,000 for Richland Carrousel Park
I'm so thankful we are able to continue to invest in our community, which is such a wonderful place to live, work, and raise a family.
