Greetings, Friends and Neighbors,
Representative Click has been busy attending meetings and ensuring that the voices of the people of District 88 are heard. Let’s look at what’s been happening this week!
Happy Hanukkah!
I'd like to extend a warm Happy Hanukkah to our Jewish friends are celebrating this week. Rabbi Areyah Kaltmann invited Representative Click to be his special guest at the Menorah Lighting at the Governor’s residence. This ceremony included a custom menorah made in Melbourne, Australia in the shape of the state of Ohio. Governor DeWine began the ceremony with a moment of silence remembering the Jewish victims of terrorism in Syndey, Australia.
Rabbi Kaltmann and I talked about House Bill 187, legislation that he helped initiate that will require schools to set aside a moment of silence each day. Representative Click and Representative Eric Synenburg are carrying this bipartisan piece of legislation, which awaits further consideration in House Education Committee.
The Charlie Kirk American Heritage Act
Representative Click has received national attention on one of his most impactful bills, The Charlie Kirk American Heritage Act. House Bill 486 sped through the committee process, receiving swift passage in the House. The bill, named in honor of Charlie Kirk, was drafted to protect the First Amendment and the principle of the Separation of Church and State. Certain hate groups target teachers and schools with intimidating letters and even lawsuits if they dare to tell the factual and historical impact of Christianity on America’s founding by reengineering the First Amendment to direct hostility towards people of faith.
Outlets such as Fox & Friends, Forbes, NBC, and The Daily Signal have all highlighted this important legislation. Representative Click recently appeared on Right Side Broadcasting to discuss this bill while other outlets have covered it as well. You can follow these links to see what is being said about the Charlie Kirk American Heritage Act.

The Student Athlete Mobility (SAM) Act
A student athlete in the district wrote to Representative Click, “last high school soccer season, four public schools in Sandusky County — Clyde, Bellevue, Gibsonburg, and Woodmore — were unable to field boys’ soccer teams due to low participation numbers.”
He proposed solutions and Representative Click responded with House Bill 626. You can read the press release here.
This week on “What’s Clickin’” with Representative Click, listeners can learn more about H.B. 268 – The CQE Bill. Representative Latina Humphrey and Representative Click championed this legislation to help individuals who were previously incarcerated successfully reenter the workforce and society.
