District 45 Happenings
These guys are the first line to keeping people out of prison after their release. Thank you for the brave protection you provide for our communities.
Mayor Rhodus is a pillar in the community. It was an honor to recognize his selfless service to the City of Fairfield.
Merry Christmas
As your State Representative for District 45, I want to wish you and your loved ones peace and joy this Christmas and holiday season. I'm truly grateful for the opportunity to serve you in Columbus and look forward to all that we'll accomplish together in 2026. Please don't ever hesitate to reach out to my office - we're always here to help!
Rep Report
Those that know me well, know how seriously I take my role as chair of the House Medicaid Committee. Addressing fraud, waste, and abuse in this taxpayer-funded system is one of the reasons I regularly travel to Columbus to advocate for my constituents. In 2025, however, I've also seen the importance of not only what we spend, but how we spend it.
In Butler County, we are blessed with some of the best companies and entrepreneurs in the country. But much of Ohio, particularly our fellow republicans in rural areas, does not. This reality places additional financial strain on rural hospitals, especially nonprofit, community-based facilities that operate independently of large hospital systems.
That's why I'm proud to join my colleagues in the Rural Hospital Caucus in sending a letter to Governor DeWine asking that part of the rural health money from President Trump’s Big Beautiful Bill be devoted to our neediest independent rural hospitals. These providers are the heart and soul of their communities, and are working desperately to stay above water.
I remain committed to finding ways in our next state budget to better support these rural hospitals. But in the meantime, I hope our Governor will consider the concerns raised and the circumstances these communities are facing.
My best,
Jennifer Gross State Representative
