Greetings, Friends and Neighbors,
Representative Click has been continually fighting for the conservative values for Ohio’s 88th district. Let’s take a look at what’s been happening at the Statehouse!
Rep. Click had the honor of speaking at a Leadership Institute Event in Columbus this past week. He spoke about education policy that is moving in Ohio, and the positive effects that this legislation will have.
In other news, House Bill 486 - The Charlie Kirk American Heritage Act successfully passed through the Education Committee and now heads to the House Floor! This bill seeks to protect teachers’ First Amendment rights to teach all of American history, including the impact that Judeo-Christian values have had from our nation’s founding, to our present day. We are so thankful for Representative Click championing this incredible bill!
Representative Click had the honor of speaking in a classroom at the University of Cincinnati about buzzing political issues and how students can engage with the political realm. This discussion was in a Q and A forum where students were able to ask their questions about policy and political stances with Representative Click.
House Bill 359 - The Joshua Alert unanimously passed the House floor and now heads to the Senate for further consideration! This piece of legislation would establish a new emergency-alert system in Ohio for certain missing children who have autism spectrum disorder or another developmental disability. This bill is named after 6-year-old Joshua Al‑Lateef Jr., a non-verbal autistic child who drowned after going missing. This bill complements Rep Click’s House Bill 144 - Keith's Law. Both bills will protect the most vulnerable and continue to help those who need it most. We are incredibly grateful that this piece of legislation has moved closer to becoming law!
This week on “What’s Clickin” with Representative Click, "House Bill 144 was discussed and how the implications of this bill will affect constituents. House Bill 144, Keith's Law, will establish a voluntary special needs database for first responders. This incredible piece of legislation will bridge the gap between first responders and emergencies that need specific knowledge or care. Representative Click believes this bill will protect those who are most vulnerable in emergency situations.
