I am greatly honored to represent Ohio's 80th House District, covering Miami and southern Darke counties. If you are ever in Columbus, please feel free to call and schedule a visit at The People's Office of District 80.
Military Veterans We Salute You!
I was honored to be invited to the 11th day of the 11th month at eleven o'clock to speak at the Greenville, Ohio Veterans Day Event. Many Darke County veterans and family members lined the streets, accompanied by the Greenville High School ROTC, Greenville High School Marching Band, American Legion, and Veterans of Foreign Wars. There is no place more patriotic and supportive of the U.S. Military and veterans than Darke County, Ohio; and no one more deserving of our tribute than those who have defended the nation we love.
Veterans Hall of Fame

The Miami County Veterans Hall of Fame inducted several shining-star Americans, highlighting their lives of service in the military and in their careers post service.
I presented a commendation to recognize these noteworthy veterans: Kimberly Bowling - Tipp City, U.S. Marines, Mitchell Fogle - Troy, U.S. Navy, James Palmer - Piqua, U.S. Army, Matthew Simmons - Troy, U.S. Navy; and honored posthumously was Alfred Daum - West Milton, U.S. Navy.
The Charlie Kirk American Heritage Act
I support the Charlie Kirk American Heritage Act, H.B. 486, which would state clearly in law that teachers are permitted in public schools and state institutions of higher education to provide instruction on the influence of Christianity on history and culture. The bill has had three hearings in House Education Committee, establishing that these actions do not present any violation of separation of church and state.
These local university students did an outstanding job giving testimony in support of this bill which has at its heart the freedom of speech and free exercise of religion.
Supporting Greater Freedom for Home Businesses
The Ohio House recently passed an important bill for home businesses. H.B. 134 works to secure the freedom for entrepreneurs to produce and sell homemade foods to the public without being required to obtain state licenses and certifications required for commercial businesses. Numerous Ohio families have brilliant ideas and a strong work ethic, and they are eager to share their products with their communities.
Ohio House Does Not Advance Raw Milk Bill
Two well respected legislators, Kellie Deeter (R-Norwalk) and Levi Dean (R-Xenia) introduced H.B. 406, which would make legal the sale of raw milk to the public. Though there are many Ohioans who support the sale and consumption of raw milk siting numerous health benefits, the bill has not been forwarded for passage at this time. Despite this fact, consumers still have access to raw milk through dairy farm businesses known as "herd share" agreements that can be found across Ohio.
