Greetings, Fellow Ohioans!
This last week was busy but productive for Representative Click! Many of his bills were moving through the statehouse. Let’s take a look at what’s been going on!
House Bill 162 - the My Child, My Chart act - favorably passed the Ohio Health Committee and now awaits a vote on the House Floor! Many parents have been surprised by the sudden loss of access to their child’s online charts. While some of that is due to federal HIPPA laws, we have taken steps to ensure that parents never have to lose access.

Representative Click is proud to be a cosponsor of House Bills 309 and 129 which successfully passed through the Ohio House General Assembly and now await hearings in the Senate. These bills will provide essential property tax relief for the citizens of Ohio.
House Bill 309 reduces unnecessary property tax collections by expanding the County Budget Commission’s authority to modify levies and reduce a taxing unit’s millage if the Commission deems a local government would receive unnecessary or excessive property tax collections. It would also increase transparency by clarifying the authority budget commissions currently have and increase transparency when addressing unvoted windfalls of revenue.
House Bill 129 would require emergency and substitute tax levies, incremental growth levies, conversion levies, and the property tax portion of combined income tax and property tax levies to be included in the 20-mill floor calculation for school funding purposes. Together, these measures seek to strengthen trust between taxpayers and local institutions while keeping community priorities at the heart of Ohio’s fiscal decisions.

Representative Click provided sponsor testimony for The Charlie Kirk American Heritage Act in the Education committee last week. The Charlie Kirk American Heritage Act is not a mandate, it is a statement of protection for teachers who choose to teach about the Christian heritage of our nation.
