Quarter Two Update
OHIO IN THE WHITE HOUSE Energy is America's Prime Mover
Very honored to travel to DC in August with Ohio House lawmakers to meet with Cabinet Secretaries Zeldin, Kennedy, and Lutnick, as well as White House staff members, and to discuss strategic policy issues at a federal and local level.
We discussed topics that included systemic American health issues, U.S. tariff intent, and, as always, the critical role that energy will play in our National economic and security future. Ohio will again be a critical part of America’s future!
Dresden Memorial Day Ceremony
My wife Christi and I were honored to be the guest speakers for the Dresden Memorial Day ceremonies. Christi is also a U.S. Naval Academy Annapolis graduate and is a 20-year U.S. Navy veteran. Hundreds of people attended the event. We’re so thankful to live in a community so supportive of our Service members.

House Bill 4 Signing
We were honored to join the first family of 'Miles' Mission' at the official signing of House Bill 4 - legislation that designates September 19th as Ohio Stillbirth Prevention Day.
Governor Mike DeWine was very gracious and spent personal time speaking with the family. Pastor Mike Bullock and our office have worked very hard on this effort for over two years! House Bill 4 will allow for the start of a broader conversation about stillbirth prevention and the care provided to Ohio families who have experienced the loss of a child.

Ohio Manufacturers' Association Dan French Legacy Award
Thank you to the Ohio Manufacturers' Association (OMA) for awarding me the Dan French Legacy Award. OMA is the Buckeye State's largest statewide business organization that is solely dedicated to the interests of manufacturers. As the House Energy Committee chair, our office has been working very hard to support rebuilding Ohio’s manufacturing base and ensure there is enough energy in place to accelerate its growth. This is a prime economic driver for Ohio and is imperative to our National Security. I'm very hopeful for a strong economic future for Ohio!
Guernsey County Leaders
State Rep. Ty Moore (District 95) and I share the great responsibility of supporting and representing Guernsey County constituents. My district is west of I-77, and his district covers the east side.
We met with the Guernsey County Commissioners and the Guernsey County Auditor to discuss the most important topic facing Ohio this fall - property taxes. We must have a coordinated, regional strategy in place as we return to the Statehouse for further deliberations. Property tax impacts are different across the state, and we'll make sure to represent the best interests of Southeast Ohio.

Bobby Kennedy is an incredible leader, a major community anchor, a FANTASTIC baker, and a motivating patriot! We are so fortunate that he is one of our neighbors.

Ohio Stoneware 20th Anniversary
Congratulations to Ross and Tiffany Pattison for 20 years of outstanding business in Zanesville!
Ohio Stoneware first opened in 2005 and is one of America's last remaining commercial pottery manufacturers, operating in what was once the Pottery Capital of the World. The Pattisons have re-energized a historic business sector in our area, and they are looking forward to even more growth. Our office will always support small businesses of all types in our district, the lifeblood of our community.
Groundbreaking Great Guernsey County Trail and Turner Avenue Streetscape
Guernsey County leadership recently celebrated the groundbreaking of the Great Guernsey County Trailhead in downtown Cambridge! Local leaders spent years coordinating funding for this trail extension that will now connect with the Great Guernsey Trail in Southeast Cambridge that runs to Lore City. Get your bikes ready!
1LT Elizabeth Haavisto - U.S. Army
Congratulations to my first legislative aide, Elizabeth Haavisto, for commissioning as a U.S. Army officer! 1LT Haavisto will be a Judge Advocate, which is so desperately needed! I'm so proud that she has volunteered to serve us all; Elizabeth has incredible leadership and personal character. Thank you,1LT Haavisto, for being an amazing patriot!!
Tour of Guernsey County Child Advocacy Center
The Children's Advocacy Center (CAC) of Guernsey County, established in 2006, centralizes services for abused children. By fostering a collaborative environment, the CAC minimizes the need for children to recount their traumatic experiences repeatedly, offering a neutral and supportive space for disclosures.
These are the kindest, most loving people you would ever want to meet. More neighbors of ours are there when we are most in need. Please support them whenever you see them!

Byesville Patriots Park
Patriot Park is a beautiful new addition to the heart of Byesville, celebrating community pride and American heritage.
The park features vibrant flag displays, a serene central fountain, and a stunning patriotic mural by artist Dean Davis. Designed as a welcoming space for gatherings, festivals, and quiet reflection, Patriot Park is a symbol of unity and hometown spirit.
The artwork and construction are superb. Please stop by downtown Byesville when you can to pay your respects. Another deeply patriotic community in our incredible district!
