December Community Update

Mobile Office

As we celebrate the coming of the new year, your Franklin County Auditor’s office is preparing to kick off a series of monthly events called Community Connects where you can interact with experts from different departments to learn more about what your Auditor’s office can do for you.

Community Connects events will be held at locations around Franklin County and will feature neighborhood-specific content about information and services offered through the Auditor’s office. The first Community Connects will be held January 23 from 5:30 pm – 7 pm at the Columbus Metropolitan Library, Hilltop Branch, 511 S. Hague Ave. I encourage anyone who is interested in learning more about the services of your Auditor’s office to stop by.

I wish everyone a happy New Year from your Auditor’s office!

Me & My Pal Calendars Now Available

Young dog ambassadors who submitted drawings for the Me & My Pal contest were celebrated at a ceremony this month at the Franklin County Dog Shelter. The contest, which was open to Franklin County K-6 students, featured drawings of the ambassadors with their dogs. Winning entries are featured in the 2024-2025 Me & My Pal calendar, which is now available from the Auditor’s office.

As a reminder, Dog Licensing season, when licenses can be purchased without incurring additional fees, runs through January 31. Dog licenses are available for purchase online at https://doglicense.franklincountyohio.gov or at the Auditor’s office license counter, 373 S. High St., 21st Floor in downtown Columbus. The counter is open Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 4 pm.

In addition to being required by state law, dog licensing ensures that any lost dog is returned quickly to their owners. License fees help support the Franklin County Dog Shelter and Adoption Center.
