FCEM&HS Cancels Weekly Outdoor Warning Siren Test Tomorrow Due to Extreme Cold

COLUMBUS, Ohio— Due to the extremely cold temperatures and dangerous wind chills in the forecast, Franklin County Emergency Management and Homeland Security (FCEM&HS) will suspend its noon test of the Franklin County Outdoor Warning Siren System this Wednesday, January 30th. FCEM&HS is suspending the test to ensure the safety of the Agency's Siren Watchers by keeping them out of the dangerously cold elements and to avoid any mechanical damage to the siren system as well as the inability to immediately service a malfunctioning siren.

FCEM&HS will resume the weekly noon siren test next Wednesday, February 6, 2019 as scheduled.
