Franklin County Public Health wants to stay connected with our partners by creating informed and healthy communities. This newsletter can to serve as a tool for you to share resources for your community members, schools, and families in your district.

Immunization

It's not too late to be vaccinated against COVID!
- All those 6 months and older recommend 1 dose of vaccine.
- Those 65+ recommend an additional dose of the updated vaccine at least 4 months from last dose.
- Those under 65, but with chronic medical conditions please discuss with your health care provider of whether you should receive an additional dose.
For upcoming summer travel don’t forget to make sure you’re updated on all your other vaccines. Especially when traveling internationally.
Make sure you and your family is protected against measles.

Equity Advisory Council Meeting
The next EAC Meeting is Monday, April 22nd. The meetings are held the 4th Monday of every month from 12:30-2:00pm.

Lifeline of Ohio

April is National Donate Life month. As of the end of March 2024, 330 Franklin County residents are awaiting a life saving organ transplant. Last year, Lifeline Ohio saved 445 lives! One donor has the potential to save 8 individuals through organ donations and heal more than 75 with tissue and cornea donations. National Donate Life month encourages individuals to register their donation decision to be an organ and tissue donor on our website at lifelineofohio.org/. Also, talk to your family and friends about your decision.
Lifeline of Ohio Annual Candlelight Ceremony
Friday April 12th at 8:00 pm is the annual Lifeline of Ohio Candlelight Ceremony. The ceremony will be held outdoors at the Lifeline of Ohio offices at 770 Kinnear Road honoring our donating heroes and give hope to those awaiting a donation.
