Ohio School Design Manual

The Ohio School Design Manual (OSDM) is our statewide guide for designing effective, efficient, and future-ready school facilities. Updated annually, it outlines the spaces, systems, and standards required for state-funded classroom construction.
As we prepare for the 2026 edition, the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission (OFCC) is inviting feedback from our valued industry partners. Your experience and insight play a vital role in shaping a manual that supports high-quality learning environments across Ohio.
Public comments open through Jan. 23, 2026.
If you have recommendations, requests for revisions, or ideas for improvement, we encourage you to submit them during this open comment window.
