A Message from the Principal

Hello Deer Park Families!

Our graduation day was truly remarkable, filled with joy as we celebrated the Class of 2024. The stands were full of enthusiastic family members and friends, creating an atmosphere of warmth and celebration. Thank you to the faculty, staff, and maintenance team for their dedicated efforts in making this day memorable for our seniors and their loved ones.

Exam Week

Please make sure to carefully review all the details provided about exam week. This includes the exam schedule as well as the criteria for student exam exemptions. It's essential to fully understand the process for students who wish to leave after their exams are concluded. Please let us know if you have any questions


Important Information on Final Exam Exemptions for Deer Park High School Students

We are pleased to inform you that students in grades 9-11 who maintain an “A” average for each quarter of a yearlong course and have an “A” average for the fourth quarter up to the last week of school will be excused from the final exam for that course. This exemption applies exclusively to year-long courses. Students have been notified if they are exempt from exams. 

If your student qualifies for this exemption, they will have the option to arrive late or leave early according to their specific exam schedule. However, students will only be permitted to leave early/arrive late if the Exam Exemption permission slip (linked below) is signed by a parent or guardian.

Please note, regardless of the time your student enters the building next week, they must use the front entrance of the school.

These are students taking a high school credit course as a 7th or 8th grader or select students in the H3 Academy, who maintain an “A” average for each quarter of a yearlong course and have an “A” average for the fourth quarter up to the last week of school. Grade 9 Students who completed a state End of Course Assessment in April received their test scores in classes this week. Any grade 9 student who did not receive a copy of their test score should notify their teacher.

All other students who completed a state End of Course Assessment in grades 7-12 will receive a copy of their test scores through their classes next week.

News From The Nurse

Please make arrangements to pick up student medications from the school nurse no later than 3PM on Thursday, May 23. Medications will be discarded after this date. Email the school nurse at c.scholl@dpccsd.org or call 513-936-4682 to arrange a pickup.

Medications for the 2024-25 School Year

Please see the attached form should your teen require medication to be given at school for the next school year. The form below needs to be completed by your student's medical provider and the medication form and medicines should be delivered to the nurse at back to school time.

25th Annual Deer Park Golf Scramble

It’s time to register for the 25th Annual Deer Park Wildcat Boosters Golf Scramble! We expect everyone to be in top golf shape by Saturday, June 8th!

We are currently fielding this year's foursomes. To register, simply click the link below and fill out the Google form.

Registration for the event starts at 7:30 AM and it costs $100 per golfer, with four people per team. Every golfer will receive the following items for their $100 entry fee:

Green fee/cart
Boxed Lunch
Two (2) Drink tickets

CLASS of 2025 - Important Health Advisory

Class of 2025 Juniors and Families:

Are you aware of the immunization requirements that are required to begin the 2024-2025 school year?

12th grade students (Class of 2025) must submit documentation that they have received at least 1 dose of MCV4 (meningococcal vaccine (Menactra/Menquadfi) administered on or after their 16th birthday.

Please contact your teen's physician  to obtain this vaccine or verify that their immunization status is up-to-date. Forward all updated vaccination records to Christie Scholl RN, school nurse (c.scholl@dpccsd.org) or drop off to the clinic. Updated vaccine records are accepted anytime.

If you are interested in preparing for the SAT, sign up for the SAT bootcamp this summer! The SAT is free for all juniors each school year in the spring. Get a jumpstart on some practice! Here's the link to sign up.

Paying School Fees

Please remember to pay your student fees for the 2023-2024 school year. Fees can be paid in the front office during regular office hours or by using PaySchools. You will need a student ID to set up a PaySchools account. These are found on fee forms and are the same number your student uses for their lunch account. If your student doesn’t know this number, please feel free to reach out to us with questions at 513-891-0010.
