Remote Learning Details
Good afternoon Deer Park Families,
As you know, Deer Park Jr/Sr High School will be following a remote learning schedule for the next couple of weeks. We will have students logging into teachers' classes on all regular school days starting Monday, October 26th and continuing through Friday, November 6th.
Please see the details below, and please remember that virtual conferences are on as scheduled for next Thursday and Friday. While I'd originally planned on sending out the Zoom links to parents for conferences today, our change in schedule has pushed that timeline back. Please be on the lookout for a separate email with conference details this coming Monday.

Upcoming Schedule
Over the course of these two weeks, students will be logging onto classes using their Chromebooks. Teachers will be setting up Zoom meetings for students to remote into, and this information will be posted to teachers' Schoology pages.
We will follow a block schedule for the next two weeks, with students rotating between "Odd Days" and "Even Days" based on their schedule.
Odd Days: Bells 1, 3, 5, and 7 will "Meet"
- Mon. 10/26, Wed. 10/28, Tue. 11/3, Thu. 11/6
Even Days: Bells 2, 4, and 6 will "Meet"
- Tue. 10/27, Mon. 11/2, Wed. 11/4, Thu 11/6
Please again note that there are no classes Thursday 10/29 and Friday 10/30 due to conferences.
On even days, students will have "XBell" at the end of the day. Students WILL NOT have to be online during this time. The purpose of this time is for students to have specific time set aside every Even day for catching up on missing work and preparing for upcoming assignments.
Daily Bell Schedule
Students will "meet" virtually for 85 minute blocks each day. Note that the time blocks are the same on each day.
Odd Days
1st Bell: 8:10 am - 9:35 am
3rd Bell: 9:45 am - 11:10 am
Lunch: 11:10 am - 12:00 pm
5th Bell: 12:00 pm - 1:25 pm
7th Bell: 1:35 pm - 3:00pm
Even Days
2nd Bell: 8:10 am - 9:35 am
4th Bell: 9:45 am - 11:10 am
Lunch: 11:10 am - 12:00 pm
6th Bell: 12:00 pm - 1:25 pm
XBell: 1:35 pm - 3:00pm
Students will have 10 minutes between blocks to allow for a quick break, and students will also have an extended lunch in order to help with any younger siblings that may be home and need assistance for their lunches.
