Midterms for 3rd Quarter

As the calendar turns to February, we are also entering into the 5th week of the 3rd Quarter.  As always, please use this as an opportunity to check-in with your student and his/her teachers for progress this quarter.  Even with no "snow days" in January, the month still seemed to fly by, and the end of the 3rd Quarter (March 13th) will sneak up on us before we know it!

In Case You Missed It

West Point High School STEM Workshop Opportunity

The United States Military Academy at West Point, NY has announced its 2020 High School STEM Workshop to be held at West Point Monday-Friday, June 1-5, 2020.   The West Point Society of Greater Cincinnati is promoting this opportunity in the tri-state region as part of our Leaders of Character initiative.

The workshop provides an opportunity for students interested in STEM to live and learn with their peers from across the United States in a campus setting.  It is a great growth experience, and for many of these students may also be their first time away from home or chance to fly on an airplane. Participants receive a full scholarship for the session, covering classroom, materials, living quarters and meals.  During their visit to West Point, all students will stay in the barracks under the supervision of cadet mentors, and attend class in the Academy’s academic facilities. Complete information is available using this link.

If you are interested in helping out, please sign up. Contact Dr. Orso with any questions. Please click here to view the online sign-up sheet.
