Dear Deer Park Families,
As many of you may know, in September of 2018, Deer Park High School student Seth Dryer was diagnosed with a rare and devastating Polio-like disease called Acute Flaccid Myelitis (AFM), leaving him paralyzed. Following his diagnosis, Seth spent more than a year in the Intensive Care Unit. As can be imagined following so much time in the hospital, the bills can pile up. In addition, the Dryers need a wheelchair accessible van so they can take Seth out. Currently, they are dependent on a medical transport to get to doctor appointments. The transport service is appreciated, but at times difficult due to having to wait up to 90 minutes for a ride home after stressful medical appointments. But most of all, they have no way to take Seth on unplanned outings.
This week, MVP Sports Bar & Grille will donate 20 percent of food sales to help support the Dryer family when presented with the attached coupon. Additionally, on Wednesday, Nov. 20th, MVP will donate 20 percent of ALL food sales to the family, along with a raffle and split the pot.
During the week of December 9-13, Deer Park High School will host its own "Seth Week" raising money and awareness for AFM. That week, MVP will host additional fundraisers. More information on "Seth Week" will be coming soon!
