Updates To Our Breakfast Drop Off Procedures
Parents,
We’ve updated our parking lot outside our cafeteria to help improve the safety of our students when they come to breakfast in the morning. Please notice that this lot is now “One-way” so that we don’t have cars coming from multiple directions. We’ve also painted a path which students can use if they are dropped off directly on Linden Ave that keeps them out of the traffic until they cross over to the cafeteria door.

Church of Christ Parking Lot- Closed Monday
I wanted to make you aware that The Cincinnati Church of Christ Parking Lot will be closed on Monday as they are having a company in to do some work. I know this parking lot is used by many of our families as a drop off or pick up area, and I don’t want parents & students scrambling to find each other.
Halloween Parade
Next Thursday is the annual Amity Halloween Parade. The parade, a community favorite, will run from 2-2:30 p.m. on Halloween. Below is an image of the parade route, where we are encouraging community members and parents to set up chairs and gather for the festivities. Set up can begin at 1:45 p.m. the day of the parade.

Costumes for Halloween Parade
With the Halloween Parade taking place Thursday for grades K-3, we ask that you help our students with following costume rules:
- No makeup/face paint
- No masks that prohibit vision
- No weapons
- Violent or offensive costumes may be asked to be modified at teachers’ discretion
- We appreciate your help!
Harvest Night
 Please join us Tuesday, October 29th from 6:00-7:30 p.m. for Amity Elementary Harvest Night--a night to celebrate our Deer Park community!
Youth Service Club will be serving an Amity Elementary student grown, seed to table vegetable soup free of charge. 3rd graders will be performing a community tribute in song at 7 p.m. in the Gym.
A silent auction of student-made clay bowls will be ongoing. Monies raised will go to the “Feed The Kids Foundation.” Literacy activities will also be occurring in classrooms.

Smiles Program
Great news! Deer Park Community City Schools has partnered with the Smile Programs…the mobile dentists to offer in-school dental care!
The mobile dentist will be coming to both Amity Elementary and the Jr./Sr. High School!
- Jr./Sr. High School on November 11th, 2019
- Amity Elementary on November 11th, 12th & 13th 2019
Registration is easy! Simply sign up your child today at www.myschooldentist.com or fill out and sign a permission form. Please return forms to the school nurse by October 8th. If you have not received a permission form, please contact the school today and ask for one to be sent home with your child.

Lost and Found
The lost and found is filling up with student items. If your child is missing something, please have them check the lost and found that is located off the cafeteria.

Deer Park Schools Looking for Substitutes
Deer Park Schools is looking for substitute teachers at both Deer Park Jr./Sr. High School and Amity Elementary.
If you are interested in becoming a Substitute Teacher for us please apply here. We are partnered with Hamilton County Educational Service Center for this service. They are located at 11083 Hamilton Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45231.
