Mindy Robertson, Deer Park Jr./Sr. High School Assistant Principal
Mindy Robertson comes to Deer Park following a five-year stint as an English and Theater teacher at Lakota East High School. During her time at Lakota, she completed her administration license program from Miami University, where she graduated in December 2018.
“We are thrilled to welcome Mrs. Robertson to our team as our new Jr./Sr. High School Assistant Principal," Deer Park Superintendent Jay Phillips said. "She comes to us from Lakota, where as a teacher she served in many different leadership roles and capacities. We know she will be a great fit for our district and look forward to her making a significant positive impact.”

Josh Drouhard, Amity Elementary Principal
Another familiar face at Lakota Local Schools, Josh Drouhard becomes the Principal at Amity following a seven-year run as the Assistant Principal at Plains Jr. School in Liberty Township. While at Plains Jr., Josh oversaw a building of more than 750 students, 38 teachers and 34 support staff members.
“Throughout the interview process, Josh really separated himself from all of the other candidates," Phillips said. "Our interview committee knew pretty much immediately that Josh was going to be our next principal. He has significant experience as a building administrator and it was also evident that he is just a great all around person who will be a perfect fit for Amity.”
Josh has spent the entirety of his professional career inside of the Lakota school district, as he was an 8th grade American Studies Teacher at Liberty Jr. School from 2005-2012, as well as the school’s Athletic Director from 2009-2012.
“I’m really excited to become the principal of Amity Elementary,” Drouhard said. “It’s an honor to work with such a great staff in such a beautiful building. Having grown up attending a small school, I know firsthand the advantages that a small, close-knit community school like Amity provides. I look forward to working with our parents in helping our students achieve their dreams.”
Josh received his Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Dayton and his Master of Education in Educational Administration from Xavier University. He currently lives in Milford with his wife Amy, and three children: Cora (5), Quincy (4), and Louis (1).
