Notes & Reminders

Arrival/Dismissal

Our arrival and dismissal routines continue to be monitored to improve the efficiency of these procedures.  Here are some important reminders that you can do to help with the safety and efficiency of dismissing over 700 students each school day.

  • Remain in your cars and have your children enter/exit the vehicle on the side closest to the building.  Staff members can assist in this if necessary.
  • Pull forward in the drop off lanes to create a larger staging area at arrival and dismissal.
  • Do not park in the Amity parking lot and walk your child to the doors.  If you choose to walk your child to the doors, please park off-site.
  • When picking up a walker, please stay back from the exit doors and have a meeting point.  For K-1 walkers, students will be dismissed to pickup points on the far ends of each sidewalk in front of the building.
  • When you reach the "curb cut" on Linden Ave, please pull to the far right in you are using the 2-6 playground pickup area.  This will allow the K-1 pick-up parents to safely pass your cars and keep the line moving.

Thank you again for your help in making this procedure run safely and smoothly each school day!

Curriculum Night

Curriculum Night

Thank you to all parents that were able to attend last week's Amity Curriculum Nights.  Our teachers were excited to meet with you and share the exciting experiences that lie ahead for your children this school year!

Amity Fall Pictures

Amity Fall Pictures will be on Friday, September 21.  Picture sign ups have been sent home with your children.  Please disregard the picture date on the district calendar.  Lifetouch needed to make this change in date after the calendars were printed.  We look forward to seeing lots of happy smiling faces that day!
