Today, the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce released phase 1 of the 2024-2025 Special Education Profile for all districts and community schools. This first phase of the 2024-2025 Special Education Profile contains indicators 1, 2, 4, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, Alternate Assessment, and Significant Disproportionality. Phase 2, including indicators 3, 5, 6, 7, and 18 and enrollment data, is targeted for release in May 2025.
Each year, districts and community schools receive a that shows whether they are meeting their goals, over time, for students with disabilities. The design of the Special Education Profile helps districts use data about services and outcomes for students with disabilities to continue improving their special education programs. The Special Education Profile displays the district and community school's performance on key indicators established by the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and informs the district or community school of any required actions based on these indicators. To comply with IDEA, districts and community schools must complete all required actions detailed in the Special Education Profile.

Special Education Profile Open Office Hour
