System Issues Update
The global outage that impacted certain Microsoft customers has also impacted the State of Ohio systems, including the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce.
The following issues have been resolved:
- The Department’s website is now available.
- The Report Collector and ZIS are both back to normal operation.
- Nearly all data collectors at ITCs have reconnected with the state ZIS, and nearly all submissions made on Friday have been received by the state. The remaining ITCs should reconnect to our systems overnight, and the remaining submissions should be received at the state once that occurs. However, if you submitted a data collection on Friday, we strongly suggest that you check the status of that submission on Monday to make sure it was successful.
- ODDEX is currently receiving data from Thursday’s submissions and should update over the weekend.
- Your ITC's Data Collector should be receiving all Level 2 report updates from data submitted on Thursday.
At this time, the following may still be issues. We will provide an update on these items on Monday.
- Although the Department is receiving data submissions, those submissions may not process over the weekend. Therefore, Level 2 reports, ODDEX, and the SDC may not reflect Friday submissions when you log in on Monday morning.
- The Secure Data Center (SDC) failed to update overnight. Ignore any data within the SDC at this time.
- The appeals system is currently unavailable to Department staff and may also be unavailable to the field.
Note that there may be issues in addition to those above of which we are not yet aware. Once all systems are back online and reports are up to date, another Newsflash will go out.
