State Funding for English Learners
Ohio’s strategic plan, Each Child, Our Future, has the whole child at its center. To better meet the needs of Ohio’s English learners, state law requires that English learner state funds received by traditional districts, community schools, Joint Vocational School Districts (JVSD) and Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) schools be used only for services for English learners. Schools may use the funds to meet federal obligations to English learners and families. Find out more about the uses of English learner funding here.
