Getting ready for kindergarten: Online information, resources and tools available
Kindergarten is an exciting time in the lives of young children and their families. This critical year introduces children to the world of formal schooling and can have a lasting impression that sets the stage for future school and learning experiences.
Chartered nonpublic schools planning to administer KRA must register by March 31
Chartered nonpublic schools can administer the Kindergarten Readiness Assessment (KRA) to enrolled kindergarten students. The law requires such schools to notify Ohio’s superintendent of public instruction, no later than March 31, 2019, of their intent to administer the KRA for the 2019-2020 school year.
Confirm roster verification participation by Feb. 8
Superintendents at traditional districts, joint vocational and career-technical districts, educational service centers and community schools will receive an email this week requesting that they confirm their participation in value-added roster verification by Feb. 8.
