Is your contact information up to date?
The Office for Exceptional Children uses the information that districts report in the Ohio Educational Directory System (OEDS) to contact superintendents, special education contacts and community school sponsors with important updates and information, including notifications related to:
-
Annual Special Education Profiles;
- Annual Special Education Ratings; and
- Alternate Assessment Justifications.
Please take a moment to check that your OEDS contact information is accurate and work with your district’s OEDS administrator to make any needed updates.
The Department will send districts their 2018-2019 Special Education Profiles in December. Profiles are accessed through the Department’s Secure Application for Enterprise (SAFE) web portal. After logging in to SAFE, select the link for Special Education Profiles & Ratings.
District users must have one of the following OEDS roles to access these reports:
-
Superintendent
-
Assistant Superintendent
-
Superintendent Designee
-
Special Education Contact
-
Director-Special Education-General
-
Coordinator-Special Education-General
-
Supervisor-Special Education-General
-

Users that need to access the reports but do not have one of these identified roles must contact their district’s OEDS administrator.
