OhioMeansJobs K-12 backpack goal OhioMeansJobs K-12 has grown to over 327,000 current student backpacks since its launch in April 2014. The Ohio Department of Education’s Career Connections team is actively working on a goal of increasing the number of OhioMeansJobs K-12 backpacks to 450,000 by 2019. That means this year we would like to increase the active student accounts by nearly 60,000 by the end of 2017. To achieve this goal, we need your help!    Help your students explore and prepare for their future career by registering in the K-12 portal.   New to OhioMeansJobs K-12? Free court reporting program in Canton

Ohio offers many opportunities for our students to prepare for their futures. One example is the free A to Z Intro to Machine Shorthand course offered by the Ohio Court Reporters Association in Canton for students and adults beginning August 23.

Conference seeking presenters

Ohio ACT is seeking workshop session proposals for the 2018 Ohio ACT State Organization Conference to be held on January 23-24 in Columbus. This year's conference theme is Navigating the Changing Seas in Education and Workforce. 

Suggested themes include College Credit Plus; workforce; financial aid; state and federal mandates; and other hot topics affecting your colleagues in the state. Share the great work your district is involved in here.
