U.S. 35/Valley-Trebein Road Project Update
Second closure of Trebein Road this weekend
Greene County (Wednesday, June 17, 2026) – The second weekend closure of Trebein Road at the U.S. Route 35 interchange for crews to complete paving work.
Beginning at 7 p.m. Friday, June 19, Trebein Road will be closed between the on/off ramps at westbound U.S. 35 and Dayton-Xenia Road while contractors for the interchange project complete the reconstruction of concrete pavement to the north of the interchange.
The closure will in effect until 6 a.m. Monday, June 22, and while Trebein Road is closed, motorists will be detoured by way of Dayton-Xenia Road, Progress Drive and Business U.S. 35/Main Street.
All work will be contingent upon the weather, so in the event of weather-related delays, the backup weekend for the closure will be June 26-29.
During periods of closure, the ramps will remain open, and access to a private driveway will be maintained.

Project Overview
The U.S. 35/Valley-Trebein Interchange Project is part of a several corridor improvements and a greater thoroughfare plan in Greene County, and construction includes upgrading 1.28 miles of U.S. 35 to a limited-access facility and replacing the at-grade intersection with an interchange.
The Eagle Bridge Company was awarded a contract for approximately $40.1 million to complete the project, and the project is scheduled for completion this summer.
