Project Overview
Replacing the existing bridge system that spans over I-71, I-471 and Gilbert Avenue from Mt. Adams to downtown Cincinnati, the pedestrian bridge replacement project includes the construction of a single, shared-use path bridge over both interstates and Gilbert Avenue.
The new bridge will be constructed immediately adjacent to the existing system, and the project also includes construction of a new stairway and an ADA-compliant ramp from the west end of new bridge to E. Court Street.
Prus Construction was awarded a contract for approximately $12.9 million to complete the project, and all work is scheduled to be completed in early fall of 2026.
