S.R. 131/133 Intersection To Be Converted To Four-Way Stop Next Wednesday

Clermont County
(Friday, June 5, 2026) –
A traffic change will be implemented at state routes 131 and 133 in Clermont County next week, when the intersection is converted to a four-way stop.

Located approximately 1.3 miles east of Newtonsville, the intersection of S.R. 131 and S.R. 133 will be converted to a four-way stop controlled intersection effective Wednesday, June 10. Currently, the intersection is a two-way stop with S.R. 133 motorists yielding to S.R. 131 traffic, and S.R. 131 motorists having the right of way.

Listed on the state’s Highway Safety Improvement Plan for rural intersections, the S.R. 131/133 intersection was selected for ODOT’s All-Way Stop Implementation Program, which is a statewide initiative to improve safety and prevent or reduce the occurrence of high-speed angle crashes at select intersections by converting standard, two-way stop intersections to all-way stop control.

Message boards and signs alerting motorists of the upcoming change have been installed; however, motorists are reminded of the need for additional caution when traveling through the area.
