U.S. 35/Valley-Trebein Road Project Update
Intermittent restrictions on U.S. 35 next week
Greene County (Friday, May 15, 2026) – Paving work will require lane restrictions next week on U.S. Route 35 as part of the interchange project at Valley-Trebein Road.
On Sunday, May 17, contractors will impart single-lane closures on U.S. 35 East and West, between the U.S. 35 bypass at Xenia and Orchard Lane, for paving operations.
Various lane closures will be in effect from 7 p.m. each night to 6 a.m. the following day as weather permits, with all restrictions lifted by 6 a.m. Friday, May 22.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and use additional caution when traveling through the work zone.
Project Overview
The U.S. 35/Valley-Trebein Interchange Project is part of a several corridor improvements and a greater thoroughfare plan in Greene County, and construction includes upgrading 1.28 miles of US 35 to a limited-access facility and replacing the at-grade intersection with an interchange.
The Eagle Bridge Company was awarded a contract for approximately $40.1 million to complete the project, and the project is scheduled for completion this summer.
