Hamilton County (Wednesday, April 30, 2025) – As part of the pavement repair project on state Route 126, overnight lane restrictions remain in effect and a ramp closure is being rescheduled due to the weather.
Nightly lane closures remain in place on S.R. 126 East and West, between Galbraith Road and Reading Road, for bridge deck patching through Friday, May 2. Restrictions are from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. the following day.
Beginning at 9 p.m. Thursday, May 9, the ramp from Galbraith Road to eastbound S.R. 126 will be closed until 6 a.m. Friday, May 10 for saw cutting. Traffic will be detoured via the U.S. 127 (Hamilton Avenue) ramp.
Then, at 9 p.m. Friday, May 9, the ramp from Galbraith Road to eastbound S.R. 126 will be closed for concrete repairs through 6 a.m. Sunday, May 11. During closure, traffic will be detoured via the U.S. 127 (Hamilton Avenue) ramp. This ramp closure was originally scheduled for this weekend.
Prus Construction Company was awarded a contract in the amount of $3.8 million to complete the project, which includes patching concrete pavement and bridge decks, and repair pressure relief on bridge joints throughout the work zone. All work is scheduled to be complete in November 2025.
