Hamilton County (Tuesday, February 25, 2025) – Lane restrictions and ramp closures will be in effect on Interstate 71 tonight and tomorrow night as contractors for the Ohio Department of Transportation replace signs at the I-71 and I-275 interchange.
Beginning at 10 p.m. tonight, February 25, a double-lane closure will be in effect on I-71 North, from the Deerfield Road overpass at Blue Ash through the I-275 interchange. This will be followed by a double, right-lane closure on I-71 South beginning at 1:30 a.m. Wednesday and closure of the exit to I-275 West.
Southbound I-71 traffic to I-275 may detour by way of the Pfeiffer Road interchange and I-71 North. All restrictions will be lifted by 5 a.m. Wednesday, February 26.
Then on Wednesday, a double, left-lane closures will be in effect on I-71 North and South between Fields Ertel Road at the Warren County line and the Deerfield Road overpass. Restrictions will be in effect from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Thursday.
The work is part of a systematic sign replacement project in Hamilton County. Lake Erie Construction Company was awarded a contract for approximately $2.3 million to complete the project, and all work is scheduled to be completed by early spring.
