Request for Information: Ohio NEVI Program - Future Projects |
DriveOhio is seeking information from the EV industry, airports, academic institutions, logistics companies, and other interested parties about potential opportunities for charging infrastructure projects related to the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI)Program.
Ohio will receive $140 million in NEVI funding by 2026 to support the expansion of EV charging. The program requires funding to first be spent installing new fast-charging stations every 50 miles along the state's alternative fuel corridors.
To date, DriveOhio has awarded more than $30 million for 42 locations, to be matched with nearly $10 million from the selected developers that will design, construct, operate, and maintain these stations. Last week, ODOT received proposals for the next round of stations, which will be evaluated in the coming months.
As DriveOhio continues to develop traditional EV infrastructure across the state, it's seeking innovative ideas for rural charging, cybersecurity, fleet electrification, airport charging, workforce development, and more. The purpose of the Request for Information (RFI) is to gain industry insight and solicit potential project ideas that DriveOhio can consider for future NEVI procurement opportunities. Questions and responses should be submitted to nevi@drive.ohio.gov using the template provided.
- Questions must be submitted by January 8, 2025 at 5 p.m. ET
- Responses are due January 17, 2025 at 1 p.m. ET
