LICKING COUNTY: Weekly Construction Update

WEEK OF 6/10/24

Jacksontown, Ohio (Thursday, June 6, 2024) - The following construction projects are anticipated to affect highways in Licking County. All outlined work is weather permitting.

State Route 16

State Route 16/State Route 79 resurfacing - Resurfacing and related work on SR 16 from 21st Street to Dayton Road and SR 79 from Heath corporation line to SR 16 interchange. Includes minor bridge maintenance work on SR 16 and SR 79. Estimated completion is Summer 2025.

• New impacts:
  • Friday, June 7, the SR 79 SB off ramp to W. Main St. will close from 8pm to 7am for bridge deck repair.
  • Sunday, June 9, the SR 79 NB ramp to SR 16 will be closed from 9pm to 5am. The W. Main St. on ramp will also close from 7pm to 5am for bridge deck repair. 

State Route 13

State Route 13 intersection improvement - This project includes installation of northbound left turn lane at intersection of SR 13 and Cristland Hill Road. Estimated completion is September 2024.

• New impacts:
  • Beginning Monday, June 10, SR 13 will close to traffic for approximately 28 days for installation of a northbound left turn lane. Detour: SR 13 to SR 204 to SR 37 to I-70 to SR 13 and reverse.
