DEFIANCE COUNTY: State Route 15/State Route 18 bridge rehabilitation project
Closure for project set to begin April 15
LIMA, Ohio (Wednesday, March 27, 2024) The following work is anticipated to affect highways in Defiance County. All outlined work is weather permitting.

State Route 15/State Route 18 between Christy Rd. and Water St. over the Tiffin River will close on Monday, April 15, for approximately 90 days. Access for local traffic to all properties will be maintained throughout construction.
TRAFFIC IMPACT
Detours: SR 18 to U.S. 127 to U.S. 24, back to SR 15 (see detour map).
Current traffic impacts:
U.S. 24 between the Indiana state line and Henry County will have temporary shoulder closures until mid-April to replace signs.
U.S. 127, over the Maumee River, south of the village of Sherwood, closed on May 8, 2023, for approximately 365 days for a bridge replacement. Visit the project page: PID 102669
TRAFFIC IMPACT
Detour: CR 424 to The Bend Road to SR 18, back to U.S. 127 (see map).
State Route 66 southbound over U.S. 24 closed Wednesday, March 27, for 10 days for concrete pavement repair. The southbound lanes on the bridge are closed, the U.S. 24 interchange ramps are open.
Detour: U.S. 24 to SR 15 to U.S. 24, back to SR 66 (see map).
