Lebanon, Ohio (Monday, March 18, 2024) – A culvert repair and replacement project is set to begin at multiple locations in Clermont and Clinton counties, with construction getting under way next month on state Route 133 in Clermont County.
Contractors for the Ohio Department of Transportation will be replacing two culverts on S.R. 133, located between Rudd Lane (north of S.R. 774 and the village of Felicity) and Mt. Olive-Point Isabel Road. Construction will start Monday, April 15, and a 60-day closure will be in effect in which traffic will be detoured by way of S.R. 756, S.R. 222, S.R. 232 and S.R. 125.
In addition to S.R. 133, the project also includes repairing culverts in Clermont County on U.S. 50, between Dry Run and Stonelick-Williams Corner roads, and on S.R. 32, immediately west of the Half-Acre Road interchange, as well as lining culverts on U.S. 68 and S.R. 134 in Clinton County. A schedule for work at these locations has yet to be determined; however, these routes will remain open to traffic during construction.
Rack & Ballauer Excavating Company was awarded a contract in the amount of $545,428 to complete the project, and all work associated with the project is scheduled to be completed in the fall of this year.
All work will be contingent upon the weather. For ongoing traffic, construction and weather-related information throughout the state, please visit www.OHGO.com.
