Public Meeting Planned for U.S. 33 Expansion Project in Meigs County
Project will convert two-lane highway to four-lane divided highway
 MEIGS COUNTY - The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) is proposing an improvement project along U.S. 33 in Meigs County between the U.S. 33/State Route 7 interchange (Five Points) and County Road 338A (west of the Ravenswood Bridge over the Ohio River). The purpose of the project is to accommodate the growing transportation needs of the region and address safety concerns. Improvements include:
• Converting 14.19 miles of the 2-lane highway to a 4-lane divided highway • Adding left turn lanes to at-grade intersections throughout the corridor • Minor drainage improvements
Right-of-way acquisition is not anticipated for the project. Construction is estimated to begin in Summer of 2025.
