BUTLER COUNTY: Weekly Construction Update
Through the week ending April 1, 2023: The following traffic advisory includes restrictions on the state highway system in Butler County. All work will be contingent upon the weather. NEW IMPACT
U.S. 127 Bridge Rehabilitation - On the bridges over Mutton Run near Seven Mile and over Tail Race at the Great Miami River in the city of Hamilton. Construction will begin Monday, April 3, on the Mutton Run structure near Spring Road, and traffic on U.S.127, as well as traffic entering from Spring Road, will be maintained with temporary signals. A date to start work on the Tail Race bridge, north of Black Street at Hamilton, has yet to be determined. The entire project is scheduled to be completed in August 2023.
CONTINUING IMPACTS
S.R. 4 Turn-Lane Installation - On southbound S.R. 4 at Greenlawn Road. The southbound right lane is closed for construction of a right-turn lane by contractors for a development project off S.R. 4. Other improvements include construction of a left and right-turn lane in the median of S.R. 4. Traffic continues to be maintained in both directions, and all work is anticipated to be completed in the spring of 2023.
S.R. 129 Interchange Improvement - At Liberty Way and I-75. A project by the Butler County Engineer's Office to extend S.R. 129 east to a roundabout at Cox Road, north of Liberty Way. Eastbound S.R. 129 traffic will use the Cincinnati Dayton Road exit or the Cox Road roundabout to access Liberty Way, and the S.R. 129 exit to Liberty Way will be permanently closed. Construction for the second phase of the project on the west side of the roundabout installation on Cox Road will continue through the spring of 2023. For more information, visit the BCEO web site.
U.S. 27 Intersection Improvement - Installation of left-turn lanes in both directions on U.S. 27 at New London Road and Herman Road, and on U.S. 27 South at Ross-Millville Road. Operations were suspended for the winter months, and crews will return in the spring to complete final pavement work. The entire project is scheduled to be completed in the summer of 2023.
