S.R. 32 Realignment Project Gets Under Way This Month
Clermont County (Monday, March 20, 2023) – As part of a series of corridor safety improvements, construction is set to begin for a realignment project along state Route 32 in Clermont County
Beginning Wednesday, March 29, preliminary work will get under way at the S.R. 32/I-275 interchange as contractors for the Ohio Department of Transportation start placing temporary pavement along the ramps from S.R. 32 to I-275 South and North and place barrier wall and other equipment that will be used during construction.
The project includes realigning westbound S.R. 32 to re-establish three, westbound thru-lanes between the Glen Este-Withamsville Road intersection and the I-275 interchange, as well as realigning the ramp from westbound S.R. 32 to southbound I-275 to improve vertical clearance at the overpass.
Traffic impacts during the first phase of work should be minimal; however, lane shifts will be in effect on both ramps from S.R. 32 West to I-275 North and South. These will be in effect through mid-May before moving into next phase of construction.
The John R. Jurgensen Company was awarded a contract for approximately $4.38 million to undertake the project, and all work is scheduled to be complete in mid-fall 2023.
