WARREN COUNTY: Weekly Construction Update

Through the week ending November 5, 2022: The following traffic advisory includes restrictions on the state highway system in Warren County. All work will be contingent upon the weather. CONTINUING IMPACT

I-71 Interchange Construction - Construction of an on-ramp from southbound Mason-Montgomery Road to I-71 South. Traffic is being maintained on the mainline, as well as on Mason-Montgomery Road. Traffic on Fields Ertel Road has been shifted to the outside lanes for bridge construction, and intermittent lane restrictions will be in effect within the project zone, including the following:

  • Friday, Oct. 28: Single-lane closure of the on-ramp from Fields-Ertel Road to I-71 South, from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Saturday.

NEW IMPACT

S.R. 63 Turn-Lane/Culvert Installation - A project by the city of Monroe, between the Premium Outlets Drive and Gateway Boulevard, to construct a right-turn from eastbound S.R. 63 to Gateway Boulevard. Restrictions and lane closures are in place at the intersection, and motorists are advised of delays, especially during peak travel times in the morning and late afternoon/early evening. 

 

CONTINUING IMPACTS

S.R. 48/E. Turtlecreek-Union Road Bridge Rehabilitation/Trail Construction - Bridge rehabilitation on E. Turtlecreek-Union Road over S.R. 48. East Turtlecreek-Union Road over S.R. 48 is closed through late November for bridge replacement, and traffic is being detoured via Bypass S.R. 48. Nightly lane closures will be in place in the right lanes of S.R. 48 North and South under the East Turtlecreek-Union Road bridge, from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. The nightly restrictions on S.R. 48 will continue through approximately Friday, November 11. The entire project is scheduled to be completed in late fall.

S.R. 741/S.R. 63 Resurfacing - On S.R. 741, between Otterbein and Bunnell Road, and on S.R. 63 between Union and McClure roads. Single-lane restrictions will be in effect, including the following:

  • Friday & Sunday, Oct. 28 & 30: On S.R. 63, between Union Road at the Monroe corporation limit and the intersection with S.R. 741, from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.
  • Monday, Oct. 31: At the intersection of S.R. 63 and S.R. 741, from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.
  • Tuesday-Thursday, Nov. 1-3: On S.R. 741, between S.R. 63 and the Mason corporation limit, from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.
