WARREN COUNTY: Weekly Construction Update

Through the week ending October 15, 2022: The following traffic advisory includes restrictions on the state highway system in Warren County. All work will be contingent upon the weather. CONTINUING IMPACT I-71 Interchange Construction - Construction of an on-ramp from southbound Mason-Montgomery Road to I-71 South. Traffic is being maintained on the mainline, as well as on Mason-Montgomery Road. Traffic on Fields Ertel Road has been shifted to the outside lanes for bridge construction, and intermittent lane restrictions will be in effect within the project zone. The project is scheduled to be completed in Summer 2023.

NEW IMPACT

S.R. 63 Utility Work - Between Union Road and S.R. 741. On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, October 11-13, crews for Duke Energy will impart short-term (15-minute) full closure of S.R. 63 during the overnight hours, at any time between midnight and 5 a.m. Specified times to close the route on any day is undetermined, and as these will be short-term closures, traffic will be stopped and held. Motorists may want to seek alternate routes to avoid delay. Intermittent single-lane restrictions will also be in place while crews are at work at other times, and traffic will be maintained by flaggers.

S.R. 63 Turn-Lane/Culvert Installation - A project by the city of Monroe, between the Premium Outlets Drive and Gateway Boulevard, to construct a right-turn from eastbound S.R. 63 to Gateway Boulevard. Restrictions and lane closures are in place at the intersection, and motorists are advised of delays. 

CONTINUING IMPACTS

S.R. 48 Intersection Improvement - At the intersection of S.R. 48 and Corwin Nixon Boulevard. Single-lane closures may be in effect in either direction on S.R. 48, and traffic will be maintained in a minimum of one lane as needed during hours of operation. All work associated with the project is scheduled to be completed in early fall.

S.R. 48/E. Turtlecreek-Union Road Bridge Rehabilitation/Trail Construction - Bridge rehabilitation on E. Turtlecreek-Union Road over S.R. 48. East Turtlecreek-Union Road over S.R. 48 is closed through late November for bridge replacement, and traffic is being detoured via Bypass S.R. 48.  Intermittent restrictions may be in effect on S.R. 48 for work on the overpass. The entire project is scheduled to be completed in late fall.

S.R. 741/S.R. 63 Resurfacing - On S.R. 741, between Otterbein and Bunnel Road, and on S.R. 63 between Union and McClure roads. Daytime lane restrictions may be in effect, and traffic will be maintained with flaggers. The entire project is scheduled to be completed in late fall.
