GREENE COUNTY: Weekly Construction Update

Through the week ending September 17, 2022: The following traffic advisory includes restrictions on the state highway system in Greene County. All work will be contingent upon the weather. INTERSTATE 675 CONSTRUCTION I-675 Bridge Rehabilitation and Resurfacing Single-lane restrictions will be in effect in either direction between the Montgomery County line and North Fairfield Road from 8 p.m. each night to 6 a.m. the following day, with double-lane closures in effect from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following day, and daily from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

NEW IMPACT

U.S. 42 Culvert Replacement - Between Murdock and Tarbox Cemetery roads. The route will be closed Monday, September 12, through Friday, September 16, and traffic will be detoured via U.S. 68, S.R. 343 and S.R. 72. 

CONTINUING IMPACTS

Ohio-to-Erie Trail Resurfacing- Beginning at the Clark/Greene County line and continuing toward Xenia Station (Hill Street). Crews have finishing work to complete, and restrictions will be in effect daily from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. during weekdays as needed. All work is scheduled to be completed in late summer.

Limestone Street (Yellow Springs) SRTS - Sidewalk construction along the north side of Limestone Street, from Lawson Place to Mills Lawn Elementary School. Preliminary work has begun, and roadway traffic and driveway access will be maintained; however, locations where there is on-street parking may be restricted during construction. The entire project is scheduled to be completed in the fall of 2022

S.R. 72 Bridge Rehabilitation and Resurfacing - Bridge repairs at two structures between Clifton Road and Water Street in Clifton. Traffic at the bridges is being maintained with temporary signals. Construction at the bridge is scheduled to be completed in November 2022, and the entire project is scheduled to be completed in the summer of 2023 following paving operations between Cedarville and the Clark County line.

S.R. 235 Resurfacing - Between the city of Fairborn and the Montgomery County line. Pavement repairs are under way, and traffic will be maintained in the work zone with the use of flaggers as needed during hours of operation. The entire project is scheduled for completion in the fall of 2022. 

U.S. 35 Superstreet - Between Factory Road and Orchard Lane. Intermittent lane restrictions will be in place nightly from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. for finishing work, and traffic will be maintained on the mainline with arrow boards and traffic cones as needed. All work is scheduled to be completed by late summer of 2022.
