WARREN COUNTY: Weekly Construction Update

Through the week ending August 27, 2022: The following traffic advisory includes restrictions on the state highway system in Warren County. All work will be contingent upon the weather. CONTINUING IMPACT I-71 Interchange Construction - Construction of an on-ramp from southbound Mason-Montgomery Road to I-71 South. Traffic is being maintained on the mainline, as well as on Mason-Montgomery Road. Traffic on Fields Ertel Road has been shifted to the outside lanes for bridge construction, and intermittent lane restrictions will be in effect within the project zone, including the following: Friday-Saturday, August 19-20: Single-lane closures on Fields Ertel Road under I-71 in either direction from 7 p.m. each night to 6 a.m. the following day. Traffic will be maintained through the work zone.

CONTINUING IMPACTS

S.R. 48 Intersection Improvement - At the intersection of S.R. 48 and Corwin Nixon Boulevard. Construction includes signalization, pedestrian accommodations and a concrete traffic island. Single-lane restriction will be in effect on S.R. 48 North, and traffic will be maintained in a minimum of one lane as needed during hours of operation. All work associated with the project is scheduled to be completed in early October 2022.

S.R. 48/E. Turtlecreek-Union Road Bridge Rehabilitation/Trail Construction - Bridge rehabilitation on E. Turtlecreek-Union Road over S.R. 48. Daily lane closures will be in place in the left lanes of S.R. 48 North and South under the East Turtlecreek-Union Road bridge, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through early September 2. East Turtlecreek-Union Road over S.R. 48 is closed through late November for bridge replacement, and traffic is being detoured via Bypass S.R. 48.  Intermittent restrictions may be in effect on S.R. 48 for work on the overpass. The entire project is scheduled to be completed in mid- to late fall.

S.R. 741/S.R. 63 Resurfacing - S.R. 741 between Otterbein and Bunnel Road, and on S.R. 63 between Union and McClure roads. Overnight lane restrictions will be in place from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following day, and traffic will be maintained with flaggers. The entire project is scheduled to be completed in late fall.
