PORTAGE COUNTY: Weekly Construction Update

WEEK OF AUGUST 15

AKRON,  Ohio (Thursday, August 11, 2022) - The following construction projects are anticipated to affect highways in Portage County next week. All outlined work is weather permitting.

     Interstate 76 pavement repairs

Interstate 76 pavement repairs, Akron & Tallmadge
NEW IMPACT – Beginning Monday evening, August 15, I-76 between the Summit County line and SR 43 line will have various nightly lane closures through mid-September.

State Route 82 & 183 microsurfacing, Windham, Atwater & Mantua Townships
NEW IMPACT – Beginning on Monday, August 15, the following routes will have various lane restrictions for microsurfacing:

  • SR 82 between Townline Rd. and SR 44
  • SR 82 from just east of Garrettsville to the Trumbull Cunty line
  • SR 183 from U.S. 224 to the Stark County line

Estimated completion, late September 2022
