BUTLER COUNTY: Weekly Construction Update

Through the week ending August 13, 2022: The following traffic advisory includes restrictions on the state highway system in Butler County. All work will be contingent upon the weather. NEW IMPACTS I-75 Resurfacing - Pavement repair and resurfacing between the Hamilton-Butler County line (Crescentville Road) to just north of Tylersville Road. Evening and overnight restrictions will be in place nightly, beginning at 8 p.m. with all restrictions lifted by 6 a.m. the following day.

I-75 Bridge Maintenance - On the West Chester Road overpass, between Cincinnati-Dayton Road and Union Centre Boulevard. Intermittent lane restrictions may be in effect on I-75 North and South, nightly from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following day, as needed for work on the bridge. All work is scheduled to be completed by late fall of 2022.

NEW IMPACTS

S.R. 732 Bridge Rehabilitation - Over Indian Creek, between Reily Millville and Stillwell roads. S.R. 732 is closed through early October, and with traffic detoured via S.R. 129, U.S. 27 and Stillwell Beckett Road. All work is scheduled to be completed in mid-fall of 2022.

U.S. 127 Culvert Replacement - Just north of Morganthaler Road, between Morganthaler and Spring roads. U.S. 127 will be closed August 8-28. Traffic will be detoured via U.S. 127, Jacksonburg Road and S.R. 73. (This is a revised schedule to the previously announced start-end dates.)

CONTINUING IMPACTS

C.R. 118 (West Chester Road) Bridge Maintenance - Over Interstate 75, between Eagleview Drive and Turfway Trail. Two-way traffic will be maintained in each direction, with the work zone behind portable barrier wall. This phase of the project is scheduled to be completed in late summer.

S.R. 4/Liberty-Fairfield Road Resurfacing & Turn Lane Installation - On Liberty-Fairfield Road at southbound S.R. 4. Lane restrictions will be in effect daily from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. as needed. The entire project is scheduled to be completed in fall of 2022.

S.R. 122 Bridge Rehabilitation - At the bridges on Central Ave. over the Great Miami River at Middletown. The route is open to traffic; however, single-lane restrictions will be in effect daily from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., and traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Construction is scheduled to be completed in the fall of 2022.

S.R. 129 Interchange Improvement - At Liberty Way and I-75. A project by the Butler County Engineer's Office to extend S.R. 129 east to a roundabout at Cox Road, north of Liberty Way. Various nighttime restrictions will be in effect on the ramps to/from I-75; however, traffic will be maintained. The project is scheduled for completion in the fall of 2022.

S.R. 177 Bridge Repair - At two locations between Nichols and Hogue roads. The route will be subject to single-lane closures daily, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. through late August, and traffic will be maintained with flaggers. The entire project is scheduled to be completed in late summer of 2022.  

U.S. 27 Intersection Improvement - Installation of left-turn lanes in both directions on U.S. 27 at New London Road and Herman Road, and on U.S. 27 South at Ross-Millville Road. Single-lane closures may be in effect daily from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 7 p.m. each night to 6 a.m. the following day. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers during hours of operation. The entire project is scheduled to be completed in the summer of 2023.
