Planned transportation improvements in the area will be completed in the coming years to accommodate the additional traffic expected from future development, including Intel. Projects will be constructed by both state and local governments, with varying impacts to traffic. Please note that all work is weather dependent.

U.S. ROUTE 62 WIDENING (Ohio Dept. of Transportation)

  • Continuing impacts: A project to widen U.S. 62 for a two-way left turn lane between Village Square Shopping Center and Westview Drive is underway. Two-way traffic will be maintained. The estimated project completion is October 2022.

U.S. ROUTE 62 IMPROVEMENTS (Ohio Dept. of Transportation)

  • Continuing impacts: Drivers can expect intermittent daytime lane closures on U.S. 62 between Tippet Rd. and Fancher Rd. while crews make intersection improvements at Beech Rd. Traffic will be maintained with flaggers. The estimated project completion is October 2022.

STATE ROUTE 37 CULVERT (Ohio Dept. of Transportation)

  • Continuing impacts: SR 37 is CLOSED south of SR 310 near Delia Court for a culvert replacement. Detour: SR 37 to SR 310 to SR 161 to SR 27 and reverse. The road is expected to reopen August 1.

CLOVER VALLEY ROAD IMPROVEMENTS (City of New Albany)

  • Continuing impacts: Clover Valley Rd. is no longer open to through traffic from Jug St. or Miller Rd. for the foreseeable future. Local access from Clover Valley Rd. to Jug St. is maintained for residents only. Detour: Clover Valley Rd. to Green Chapel Rd. to Mink St. to Jug St. to Clover Valley Rd. or reverse.
  • Continuing impacts: The northern leg of Clover Valley Rd. and western leg of Miller Rd. have been connected at the intersection. Two-way traffic consisting of southbound Clover Valley Rd. to westbound Miller Rd. and eastbound Miller Rd. to northbound Clover Valley Rd. has been maintained. Miller Rd. east of the intersection has no access to the intersection.

JUG STREET IMPROVEMENTS (City of New Albany)

  • New impacts: The intersection of Jug St. and Beech Rd. will be restricted beginning Wednesday, July 20. Northbound traffic on Beech Rd. will only be able to turn right to access eastbound Jug St. Beech Rd. traffic north of the intersection will not be able to access Jug St. Jug St. will remain eastbound only between Beech Rd. and Clover Valley Rd. Detour for Beech Rd: Smith's Mill Rd. to Innovation Campus Way to Mink St. to Green Chapel Rd. to Clover Valley Rd. to Miller Rd. or reverse. The intersection is expected to reopen August 5.
  • New impacts: The intersection of Jug St. and Harrison Rd. will be restricted beginning Wednesday, July 20 for construction of a roundabout. Jug St. will have no access to Harrison Rd. Harrison Rd. will be closed to through traffic and have no access to Jug St. Local access to Harrison Rd. will be maintained for residents only. The roundabout at the intersection is expected to be complete August 18. 
  • Continuing impacts: Jug St. is CLOSED between Central College Rd. and Beech Rd. until August 11. Detour: U.S. 62 to Smith's Mill Rd. to Beech Rd. to Jug St. eastbound.
