DELAWARE COUNTY: Weekly Construction Update

WEEK OF JULY 3, 2022

DELAWARE, Ohio (Thursday, June 30, 2022) - The following construction projects are anticipated to affect highways in Delaware County next week. All outlined work is weather permitting.

I-71_Small

Interstate 71

NEW IMPACTS

  • The I-71 southbound ramp to U.S. 36 will close overnight (10 p.m. - 5 a.m.) on Tuesday, July 5.
    • Detour: I-71 southbound to Gemini Place to I-71 northbound to U.S. 36.
  • The U.S. 36 ramp to I-71 southbound will close overnight (10 p.m. - 5 a.m.) on Tuesday, July 5 and Thursday, July 7. 
    • Detour: I-71 northbound to SR 61 to I-71 southbound. 
  • The U.S. 36 ramp to I-71 northbound will close overnight (10 p.m. - 5 a.m.) on Wednesday, July 6. 
    • Detour: I-71 southbound to Gemini Place to I-71 northbound. 
  • U.S. 36 eastbound and westbound at I-71 will have nightly lane restrictions (9 p.m. - 5 a.m.) starting Tuesday, July 5 through Thursday, July 7. 
  • I-71 northbound and southbound between E. Powell Rd. and Berkshire Rd. will have nightly lane restrictions (9 p.m. - 6 a.m.) starting Sunday, June 26 through Friday, July 8.

U.S. Route 42

CONTINUING IMPACTS

U.S. 42 Resurfacing - U.S. 42 northbound between Section-Line Rd. and Sawmill Parkway will close starting Monday, May 2 for 84 days. Detour: SR 257 northbound to U.S. 36 eastbound to U.S. 23 southbound to U.S. 42.
