LUCAS COUNTY: Highway Construction Update

Project ID: 93592, 93594

Interstate 75, between Buck Road and Monroe Street, Toledo/Rossford/Northwood, will be two lanes in each direction for major reconstruction. Lane restrictions and overnight ramp closures possible. Estimated completion: Fall 2023.

 

New Announcements/Upcoming Impacts

  • Miami Street, between northbound and southbound I-75 ramps, will be closed for beam setting overnight through Thursday, June 23, 8 p.m.6 a.m. Westbound Miami St. detour: Oregon Rd. to Wales Rd. to northbound I-75 to Collingwood Blvd. (Exit 201A) to southbound I-75. Westbound Miami St. to southbound I-75 detour: Oregon Rd. to Wales Rd. to southbound I-75. Eastbound Miami/Eastbound Miami to northbound I-75 detour: southbound I-75 to Wales Rd. to northbound I-75.

 

Continuing Work

  • Southbound I-75 ramp to Washington St./Downtown, Exit 202A, is closed for reconstruction through Tuesday, June 28.
    • Detour to downtown: Exit Collingwood Blvd. (Exit 202B) to south on Collingwood Blvd. to east on Dorr St. to south on Washington St.
  • Southbound I-75 exit ramp to South Ave. (exit 200) is closed for ramp and South Ave. intersection reconstruction through Monday, June 27.
  • Nebraska Avenue is closed over I-75 between Division Street and Erie Street for bridge replacement through August.
    • Detour: Erie St. to Collingwood Blvd. to Nebraska Ave.
  • South Ave., between northbound South Ave. ramps and southbound South Ave. ramps, is closed for reconstruction through early August.
  • Southbound/outbound State Route 25/Anthony Wayne Trailwill be reduced to one lane between I-75 and Collingwood Blvd. for reconstruction of AW Trail through August.
  • Ramp from northbound/inbound Anthony Wayne Trail to northbound I-75 is closed for ramp reconfiguration through summer 2022.
    • Detour: Anthony Wayne Trail to Washington St. to northbound I-75.
  • Ramp from southbound/outbound Anthony Wayne Trail to southbound I-75 is closed for ramp reconfiguration through summer 2022.
    • Detour: Washington St. to Dorr St. to Collingwood Blvd. to southbound I-75.

Interstate 75, between Ottawa River Rd. and the Michigan state line, Toledo, will experience overnight lane restrictions for recessed wet reflective pavement marking installation beginning Monday, June 27 through mid-July, 7 p.m.-7 a.m. Project start was delayed to Monday, June 27.

Interstate 475, between U.S. Route 24 and Dussel Dr., Maumee, will experience a short-term closure for overhead cable work overnight on Friday, June 24, approximately 11:59 p.m. to 12:15 a.m.

  • Daytime and overnight lane restrictions are possible Monday, June 27 through Friday, July 1, for overhead cable work.

Eastbound Interstate I-475, between Secor Rd. and I-75, Toledo, will be reduced to one lane for pavement repairs on Friday, June 24, 10 p.m.-6 a.m.

Perrysburg-Holland Rd., between S. Holland-Sylvania Rd. and Pilliod Rd., is closed for bridge replacement over I-475 through August.

  • Interstate 475, between the Ohio Turnpike and SR 2/Airport Hwy., may experience lane restrictions for overhead construction.

U.S. Route 20/Reynolds Rd. at Heatherdowns Blvd., Maumee/Toledo, will experience overnight lane restrictions for signal upgrade and resurfacing through August.

U.S. Route 20/Central Ave., between Zone Ave. and Squirrel Bend, Sylvania, may experience lane restrictions for sidewalk finish work through June.

State Route 2, over Cedar Creek between Teachout Rd. and Donovan Rd., Jerusalem Twp., may experience lane restrictions for finish work through June. Lane restrictions are expected on Friday, June 24 for finish work.

State Route 184/Alexis Rd., between Raintree Pkwy. and Benore Rd., Toledo, will experience lane restrictions for bridge reconstruction at Enterprise Blvd. through September. One lane of traffic will be maintained in each direction on Alexis Rd.

  • Enterprise Blvd. will be closed from Alexis Rd. for the duration of the project. Local detour only: Alexis Rd. to Benore Rd. to Matzinger Rd. to Enterprise Blvd.

SR 184/Alexis Rd. at Lewis Ave., Toledo, will experience lane restrictions for intersection modifications and signal replacement through June.


Project ID: 108683

Laskey Rd. at Talmadge Rd., Toledo, will experience lane restrictions for intersection modifications and signal replacement through October. Starting date will be announced.


Project ID: 113269

Various locations will experience lane and shoulder restrictions for pedestrian and sidewalk improvements.


Various routes district-wide will experience lane restrictions for routine guardrail, lighting, and pavement maintenance throughout the year.
