Restrictions Scheduled For Cornell Road/Weller Road

Bridge Repair Project

**Revised Start Date**

Hamilton County (Friday, June 17, 2022) – As part of a dual bridge repair project on Cornell Road and Weller Road over Interstate 275, the following restrictions will be in place.

Beginning at 8 p.m. tonight, Friday, June 17, contractors working for the Ohio Department of Transportation will close the left lane of I-275 East from I-71 to Montgomery Road. Then, at 10 p.m., the center lane will be also closed. Both lanes will be open to traffic by 6 a.m. Saturday, June 18.

In addition, on Monday, June 27, contractors for the Ohio Department of Transportation will place a single-lane closure on Cornell Road for Phase 1 construction, and traffic will be maintained with a temporary signal. This is a revised start date from the previous advisory.

The project includes constructing new barrier walls and a sidewalk along Cornell Road, and during Phase 1, traffic will be shifted on the bridge to the east side through early September.

Complete General Construction Co. was awarded a contract for approximately $5.2 million to repair and rehabilitate the bridges on Cornell Road and Weller Road over I-275, and all work is scheduled to be completed in early fall.
