WARREN COUNTY: Weekly Construction Update

Through the week ending May 21, 2022: The following traffic advisory includes restrictions on the state highway system in Warren County. All work will be contingent upon the weather. CONTINUING IMPACT I-71 Interchange Construction - Construction of an on-ramp from southbound Mason-Montgomery Road to I-71 South. Traffic is being maintained on the mainline, as well as on Mason-Montgomery Road. Traffic on Fields Ertel Road has been shifted to the outside lanes for bridge construction, and intermittent lane restrictions will be in effect within the project zone. All work is scheduled to be completed by summer of 2023.

NEW IMPACTS

S.R. 48 Intersection Improvement - At the intersection of S.R. 48 and Corwin Nixon Boulevard. Construction includes signalization, pedestrian accommodations and a concrete traffic island. Single-lane restrictions will be in effect on S.R. 48 North and South, and traffic will be maintained in a minimum of one lane in each direction through late May. All work is scheduled to be completed in early October 2022.

S.R. 48/E. Turtlecreek-Union Road Bridge Rehabilitation/Trail Construction - Bridge rehabilitation on E. Turtlecreek-Union Road over S.R. 48, construction of a multi-use path from Deerfield Road to Cornett Road, and improvements to S.R. 48 for shoulder restoration. Left-lane closures will be in effect through May on S.R. 48 North and South at Nelson Road for pavement work. The entire project is scheduled to be completed in mid to late fall.

S.R. 48 &  S.R. 122 Vegetation Clearing - On S.R. 48, between Harrison and Lebanon roads; and on S.R. 122, between Middletown and S.R. 48. Traffic will be maintained with arrow boards, traffic cones and/or flaggers during hours of operation.
