TUSCARAWAS COUNTY: Weekly Construction Update
WEEK OF MAY 2, 2022
New Philadelphia, Ohio (April 28, 2022) - The following construction projects are anticipated to affect highways in Tuscarawas County in the coming weeks. All outlined work is weather permitting.
State Route 258 resurfacing: Work is set to begin Monday, May 2, to resurface 13 miles of SR 258 from Salt Fork Road to Speck Road. During this work traffic will be maintained via flaggers. Completion date is September 30, 2022.
The following projects are ongoing in Tuscarawas County:

State Route 212 culvert replacement: SR 212 is restricted between Somerdale and SR 800 for a culvert replacement project. During this work, traffic will be maintained via temporary traffic signals. The completion date is July 31, 2022. |

U.S. 250 overhead bridge repair project upcoming restrictions: Located one mile north of McCauley Drive at Johnson Road. Lane closures will take place in both directions of U.S. 250 starting Monday, March 21. Daily closures of Johnson Road will be necessary in order for the contractor to complete remaining work. These traffic impacts are expected to be completed by April 29, 2022. |
 Major rehabilitation of U.S. Route 250 pavement from State Route 800 near the Village of Dennison to State Route 151. Project includes the removal of old concrete base pavement and rebuilding the roadway with an aggregate base and asphalt pavement. This work will require A 100 day closure of the roadway.
