Ramp Closures Scheduled For I-70 Rehab Project

Preble County (Monday, April 25, 2022) – Ramp closures will be in effect on Interstate 70 in Preble County as part of the major resurfacing and bridge rehabilitation project that is under way.

On Wednesday and Thursday, April 27 and 28, crews will be milling and paving the intermediate course of asphalt on the exit ramp from I-70 West to S.R. 503 and the entrance ramp to I-70 West from SR. 503. Both ramps will be closed from 9 p.m. each night to 10 a.m. the following day, and during periods of closure, motorists will be detoured via U.S. 127 and U.S. 40.

Then, on Friday, April 29, crews will shift operations to the U.S. 127 interchange, where they will be milling and paving the ramps at westbound I-70. Both the exit and entrance ramps to and from U.S. 127 will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday to 10 a.m. Saturday, April 30, and traffic will be re-routed by way of U.S. 40 in Indiana.

Traffic on I-70 will be maintained through the work zone, and motorists are reminded of the need for additional caution.
